sadly most of the trails at the moment have been wrecked from tree thinning.
will take at least 6 months to a year for them to be up and running again. doh.

will be riding this weekend but i am not sure what day yet, and where at. probably the quantocks.
rode forest of dean on sat and is was well fun, trails for every body. havent been there for a while so it was good to get back there.

i went dhing at the forest of dean on sat and it was well fun, lots of friendly bikers up there.
and the tracks are fast and fun.

unfortunately all of the downhill tracks have got trees marked for cutting. man i hate that.
but it is a working forest.
still havent contacted forestry yet as i have a lot on at the mo, but now that the trails are being cut up it is probably a good time to sort it out.
havent rode the new trail yet but my friend george has and said it was ok but not great.

there are several trails on mendip but are all illegal, which is becoming a problem.
most of the tracks also cross or end on a bridal way which can scare horses, as there is a big riding stable up there.
if you look around rowbarrow you should find something. and yes we ride at the quarry an have been for ages, but its not that loved at the moand its been so wet this year all the wood is starting to rot and is very slippery. dohhhh
cool place though.

we are all good here. its been a great trip so far.
trying all sorts of wicked local beers and going on walks taking loads of photos. the fall colours here are amazing. going on a hike today and out on a boat sun. i have bought a super sweet handmade bmx frame for my birthday its gonna take a while to build up. but its going to be super light and sweet.
is it your birthday soon?

i ride there alot, but i am away at the moment.

i know that the only legal trails are the bridal ways but i have been riding there and building a bit for years and no probs.
we need to organise a club or something with the forestry because the wank hunters rent the land there and think they own it......
not cool they can hunt and kill with no probs but we cant ride a bikes.....thats bull shit.
getting healthy and having fun is a problem to some...
we have got to sort it out somehow.
so that every body can have fun.
the only problem i see is that if people come flying out on to the bridal way they can scare horses and thats not good....
we need a part of the hill to build with out any problems. we should get every body possible together
and have a meeting with the forestry.
i will start to get on it when i return.

sat the 11th there is a film premiere of nwd9, in bath tickets from johns bikes in bath. should be a wicked night out, i am bummed that i am going to miss it. doh , we are having a good time out here sampling local beer and today will see my brother in rehab. he is doing well there and likes the people.
will start looking for a bmx today. yes please thank you please. also going to see the bat man film again but this time in 3d, should be amazing.

its been mega muddy for as long as i can remember.
i would have liked to be there. dohhh
mind you all my kit is still wet from the last ride on fri.
went on an xc loop in bristol and it was the wettest i have ever seen. but it was well fun, got some new water proof 3/4 shorts and they rock. finally a dry ass after a ride. oh yes....
riding on sat dh somewhere then maybe a ride before i go to america. leaving on thur. so might be up for a ride mon. if i dont see you before i go have a good one.
will be bike mad when i get back. looking forward to it already.

will be building pump track on the land we have bought just up the road from us. its about 4 acres.
used to be a quarry but there are also a couple of fields one of which i will build a pump track and a set of jumps.
cant make triscombe sun as we are having some friends round the barn. thinking of going dhing in the morning on mendip on sun.
